The devastating fire jumped the Spokane River from Lincoln County onto the Spokane Reservation in three separate locations. The fire began Sunday, August 21 and continues to burn over 17,500 acres and 13 homes to date. The town of Wellpinit, also the hub of the Spokane Reservation remains at a Level 2 evacuation while nearby areas remain at Level 3 evacuation order.
The Cayuse Mountain fire victims, our friends on the Spokane Reservation need our immediate assistance. The BHW1 Advertising team is asking for your help in donating needed items to benefit the Spokane Tribal community.
Donations will be accepted at 522 West Riverside Avenue in downtown Spokane. Curbside collection hours; 6am to 6pm tomorrow, Thursday, August 25.
Donation items needed include:
Toiletries
Laundry soap
Towels
Sheets
Pillow cases, pillows
Blankets
Non-perishable foods
Bottled water
Coffee, coffee creamer
Gatorade
Men's shirts, pants, shoes
Women's shirts, pants, shoes
Socks, underwear (men, women adult sizes)
Youth sizes - all clothing
Children sizes - all clothing
Household items
The shipment is set to leave for Wellpinit Friday morning.
